für unser großes Event jeden letzten Sonntag im Monat suchen wir uns bei VATSIM Central Africa ja immer etwas besonderes aus, und diesmal wird es richtig spannend, finde ich: Mit einem Event beginnen wir unsere Aktivitäten auf den Seychellen!

Im Grunde ist da alles spannend: Die Oceanic Procedures beim Center, der extrem große Luftraum des Approachers (200nm mit Sondergenehmigung der Vatsim-Verantwortlichen), der Anflug auf Mahé.

Vielleicht mögt Ihr uns ja an diesem Sonntag besuchen. Hier ist die Original-Ankündigung:

The official claim of the Seychelles Tourism Board might already give you an idea of this archipelagic state with it's 115 islands: It's different. It's beautiful. And now it's also a hot spot for virtual pilots!

Vatsim Central Africa (VATCAF) proudly presents the Great Opening of Seychelles FIR! On Sunday 30th (17-22 UTC) we will start action at this awesome place. Get your medium or longhaul planes out and fly to Seychelles International Airport (FSIA) at Mahe - like for example the real world companies Condor, Emirates, Qatar, Eurofly or Kenya Airways are doing it.

Or take a small plane and cycle between Mahe and nearby Praslin Airport (FSPP) that also will be staffed. Or do some flights between Nairobi and the Seychelles - we will also cover this nice racetrack for you.

As Seychelles Center is Non-Radar, you will also experience procedural control via position reports in Oceanic Airspace. But don't be afraid: Once you are 200mm inbound Mahe, you'll be handed over to Approach - and be back in radar environment.

tolle Neuigkeiten: Heute Abend bei unserem Seychelles FIR Grand Opening haben wir nicht nur die Seychellen FIR voll besetzt, sondern auch die Nairobi FIR mit Center, Approach und Tower. Das ergibt zusammen eine tolle Rennstrecke zwischen beiden Flughäfen.

Wenn diese nutzen möchte, kann sich bei diesen Routen bedienen:

lasst es mich mit Lena sagen: "Ihr seid doch verrückt!"

Nie hätte ich gedacht, dass wir auf den Seychellen so einen Ansturm bekommen, das war ein ganz großer Abend für uns. Vielen Dank an alle Piloten, aber auch an alle, die die Vorbereitungsarbeit in dieser uns bis dahin eher unbekannten FIR gemacht haben.
