Flexible Uhrzeit, flexibler Verkehr und flexible Lotsen. Willkommen bei Stuttgart (EDDS) FlexOPS 2014!
Mit "Stuttgart Flexible Operations" wurde vor drei Jahren ein ungewöhnliches Projekt ins Leben gerufen, bei dem versucht wird, einen gleichmäßigen Verkehrsfluss an einem Flughafen zu erzeugen.
Die Idee: Wir besetzen den Flughafen Stuttgart zunächst für 1 1/2 Stunden. Sobald 80% aller Slots in diesem Zeitraum für Flüge, die von und nach Stuttgart führen, gebucht sind, wird sich die Länge des Events erweitern, sodass die Auslastung am Flughafen konstant auf 80% bleibt.
Wie ihr sehen könnt, hängt die Länge des Events letzten Endes von euren Buchungen auf unserer Eventseite ab. Sind Buchungen für einen gewissen Zeitraum "voll", so erweitern wir einfach und unkompliziert unsere Schichten und schieben für Euch "Überstunden".

Three years ago with "Stuttgart Flexible Operations" a new type of event was created: YOU, pilots, determine the duration of the event and the amount of traffic.
But how does it work?
It is quite simple: The duration of the event will initially be 1 1/2 hours, which will represent a basic duration. Within this time you will be able too book slots for a flight from or to Stuttgart.
As soon as a saturation of 80% has been reached, the duration will automatically extend accordingly as long as 80% of the available slots are booked. This way a dense traffic situation is guaranteed while still preventing unmanagable masses as the events is based on slots. We are thus able to provide you with realistic traffic levels and enjoyment in Stuttgart.
