Specially for the newer pilots who want to try this as a „bootcamp“ for the CTP-Feeling in a shorter event than the regular 8-10 Hrs.
But also for the experienced pilots also to reflect the last CTP.
Or just for training the oeanic procedures.
VATSIM Central Africa (VATCAF) proudly presents a fully staffed ATC bridge between
Abidjan (Ivory Coast) in Western Africa
and
Luanda (Angola) in Central Africa.
The Event takes place on Sunday, October 27th from 17 till 22 UTC. Get your medium or longhaul aircrafts (e.g. the T7 from PMDG) and fly between the Quatro de Fevereiro Intl., Luanda (FNLU) and the Felix Houphouet Boigny Intl., Abidjan (DIAP) or vice versa.
As the flight is operating over the oceanic part of the Guinean Gulf, far away from the continents, you can expect a big Non-Radar Area, you will also experience procedural control via position reports in Oceanic Airspace and SID´s & STAR´s at the participating airports.
The flighttime will take about 2 hours depending on your aircraft type.
