Flexible event time, flexible traffic, flexible air-traffic controllers. Welcome to Stuttgart (EDDS) FlexOPS 2013!
"Stuttgart Flexible Operations" is an unusual project which started two years ago to create a constant traffic flow at
certain airports and events.
The idea: Stuttgart Airport will be manned for two hours initially. As soon as 75% of all slots for flights within these
two hours are booked, the duration of the event will automatically extend and you will be able to book new slots
to keep a high level of saturation.
As you can see, the duration and the length of the event depends on your bookings. This way a dense traffic situation is
guaranteed while still preventing unmanagable masses. We are thus able to provide you with realistic traffic levels and
enjoyment in Stuttgart.
