    Wichtig AIRAC0906 - Umbau EDMM-Süden/LSAS/LOVV

    Hallo zusammen

2 Fragen: Ist der ES sector file still old (the one published) or is a new one (this who were using the people of the beta program) ?
Is mandatory to update this sectorfile? where can we see a detailed changelog?

    Hello Giorgio

It is NOT the Sectorfile of the ES-Betatest programm. There is no detailed changedlog. The only one we can provide you is the one in the posting of Pascal above. Updating is not mandatory but you must be able to provide the same quality of service that you can provide with this sectorfile. All CTR-Controllers (LSAS_CTR) should update because of the changes between Zurich and Munich. But also TWR and APP Controllers are recommended to update because of the updated TMA and CTRs. As a TWR controller for example you must know the exact position of your CTR (=Control Zone)

But why don't you just update?

Because I did some special changes to the VRC/ old and not nice ES sct so, if I have to update everything I'll lose some time to replace my modifications in the new sectors.. so I'm asking myself if it's so important because now I really don't have time/want to do this (stupid) work

    Hello Giorgio

We just provide a standard sectorfile that contains everyting you need to do ATC. A controller can of course make modifications to this file. But such modifications including any work connected with it are clearly in the responsibility of the controller. So there are three possibilities if you don't have time for this work:
    1. Use the new sectorfile
    2. Don't do ATC until you have time to do the modifications
    3. Check if updating is necessary before doing ATC on a position with your sectorfile (it's your own job to know how to do this....)
As I said, you can use any sectorfile as long as you can ansure the same quality of service.
