„Aus drei mach eins!“ Das ist das Motto dieses Events, denn vor einigen Jahren wurde beschlossen, dass die Hauptstadt Deutschlands, Berlin, einen modernen und leistungsfähigen Flughafen braucht, der die geschichtsträchtigen Airports Berlin-Tegel (EDDT), Berlin-Schönefeld (EDDB) und Berlin-Tempelhof (EDDI) ersetzt.
Am 3. Juni 2012 ist es soweit! Wir laden euch herzlich zur großen Eröffnung des Flughafens Berlin Brandenburg (EDDB/BER) ein! Als Beinamen trägt er den Namen des früheren Berliner Bürgermeisters und Deutschen Bundeskanzlers Willy Brandt. Damit bietet sich die einmalige Gelegenheit den neuen Major Airport gebührend einzuweihen. Denn eine komplette Neueröffnung eines Großflughafens hat es so in der VATSIM-Geschichte noch nicht gegeben. Werdet Teil dieses historischen Events, weil was wollt ihr sonst Euren Enkeln später erzählen, wenn sie fragen warum ihr nicht dabei wart?
Es gibt bis dahin noch viel Arbeit für uns, um alle Charts und Prozeduren rechtzeitig parat zu haben. Eine Freeware-Szenerie ist bereits bei AVSIM verfügbar. Wir freuen uns auf Euren Besuch und ein großartiges Eröffnungs-Event!

“Make one out of three!” That’s the slogan for this event, because few years ago it was decided that Germany’s capital Berlin needs a modern and efficient new airport to replace the old and historically important airfields Berlin-Tegel(EDDT), Berlin-Schönefeld(EDDB) and Berlin-Tempelhof(EDDI).
On June 3rd 2012 the wait is over! We are delighted to invite you to the grand opening of the “Berlin Brandenburg Airport” (EDDB/BER)! It is also named after the former Berlin mayor and chancellor of Germany Willy Brandt. You’ll get the unique possibility to experience this brand new major airport on day one of its operations. The opening of an important airport is also a premiere in VATSIM’s history. Become part of this historic moment, because otherwise what do you want to tell your grandchildren if they ask you one day why you have not?
There is a lot of work for us to be done by then, to get all the charts and procedures ready. A freeware scenery is already available on AVSIM. We are looking forward to your visit and a great opening event!
