    Sollte nun stimmen.

    May the Bookings begin!

What type of aircraft are able to land/takeoff in Samedan? Is an A318/19 welcomed, or is the airfield to small?

This is what I found on minimum requirements for the A320 family (source):

    Airbus A318-100 Takeoff : 1355m, Landing : 1356m
    5,270km with 107 pax

    Airbus A319 -100 Takeoff : 1950m, Landing : 1450m
    6,800km with 124 pax

    Airbus A320-200 Takeoff : 2090m, Landing : 1530m
    5,500km with 150 pax

    Airbus A321-200 Takeoff : 2180m, Landing : 1577m
    5,500km with 185 pax

The available lengths for landing in LSZS are:

    • Runway 03: 1800m
    • Runway 21: 1700m

The available lengths for takeoff in LSZS are:

    • Runway 03: 1700m
    • Runway 21: 1800m

An A318 should not be a problem. A light A319 should be able to takeoff as well.

BBJ are sometimes seen there. But The parking is not big (especially when two 737BBj or A318BBJ are there), so smaller aircrafts will be better. Depending on the weather I will be there with a DC3 or something even smaller.

Yeah but the thing is that I don't really know how to fly anything but Airbus when talking about IFR aircraft :'(
Anyway, maybe a VFR is also a good option!

LSZS has no IFR approach ;-) All VFR. You can do an IFR pickup at FL130 with MIL ON or FL150 MIL off.

Look at the briefings from Hermann.

Yes, it is a very good document!
All I wanted to say is that, in the range of aircraft capable of flying IFR (for a pickup), a320 family is the only type that I know how to fly!

    Thanks !

I installed and tested the free ORBX scenery (free European airport pack) in combination with CHX Pro (P3D) quite nice, but some static aircraft that are too close to the taxiway.

Hint: orbx only works with their library installed.

There is also an Airbus parked. And it uses a lot of space. But three Airbuses should be possible.

If you are in need of some assistance getting started flying Non-RNAV with anything from a C172 up to any airliner that uses basic radio navigation for Instrument flights, the Pilot Training Department is more than happy to help.
