Belux vACC welcomes you to our Sabena remembrance fly in at Brussels Airport – EBBR.
Sabena was Belgium’s flag carrier based on Brussels. It was founded in 1923 and went bankrupt in (November) 2001.
Before that, it had a very varied fleet. From the Comet in the sixties, all types of Boeing aircraft until the big airbus family.
With destinations all over the World, Sabena was something to be proud of!
In remembrance of the loss of our national airline, we invite all pilots to fly into Brussels on November 20th from 18.30 until 21.00z.
If you would use a Sabena callsign (SAB), that would be great.
Together with Sabena, Sobelair (SLR) also went bankrupt. This callsign can be used as well.
A pilot briefing for Brussels can be found here;
Charts for EBBR: here;
and finally scenery here.
Enjoy your flight!
