Remembering the odyssey of the Catalan Company in the Mediterranean:


In four legs beginning at Perpinyà (LFMP) we will remember a few of the outstanding facts which took place in the Mediterranean of the XIVth century by the Catalan warriors also known as Almogàvers.

Starting 24SEP11 1500z in Perpinyà (LFMP) in this legs based event we will
fly every 2 weeks, visiting following destinations:

- LEAL - Alacant (24SEP11 1500z)
- LICJ - Palermo (08OCT11 1500z)
- LTBA - Istanbul (22OCT11 1500z)
- LGAV - Athens (05NOV11 1600z)

Leg 1: From the old Catalonia to the new Catalonia

Date: 24 September 2011 (1500z)

Departure: Perpinyà - Rivesaltes (LFMP)
Arrival: Alacant - El Altet (LEAL)
Distance: 354 nm

The first leg will bring us from Perpinyà (LFMP) to Alacant (LEAL) from the old Catalonia to the territories reconquered about one hundred years before, in the XIII th century.


The group departure time will be at 1500z, (17:00 CEST).

We will be meeting at LFMP apron next saturday at 1430z to fly the first leg.
We would be very happy if you want to come and join us.
