Visit to the Tower in Zurich - last call

vACC Switzerland has made a special offer to its members for a certain time in the internal forum: we will take eight people on a guided tour to the air traffic control tower at the international airport in Zurich.

Since, especially on Fridays, we didn't yet reach the number of eight subscriptions, I am herewith publishing a final call.

Anyone who is interested in visiting the tower should subscribe in the doodle poll as soon as possible. I will then submit those dates to Skyguide for them to choose when we can pass by.

Be advised that since the tower is inside the airport's security perimeter, a special security badge will probably be handed out. Skyguide therefore wants the names of the visitors well in advance. If for any reason you are unable of attending, the place can not spontaneously be filled up and will be lost. This subscription is therefore binding.

Liebe Mitglieder,

leider habe ich schlechte Nachrichten. Die Veranstaltung fällt aus.

Wie mich Skyguide soeben informiert hat, wurden sämtliche Besichtigungen des Towers für den Rest des Jahres ersatzlos gestrichen. Grund hierfür ist seine Sanierung.

Wir wurden eingeladen, dienstags oder donnerstags mal wieder im ACC vorbeizuschauen. Ich vermute aber, dass sich das Interesse daran in Grenzen hält.

Die Überlegungen zu einem Alternativprogramm laufen bereits. Wir halten Euch auf dem Laufenden.

Dear members,

I have bad news. The event has been cancelled on short notice.

As I've just been informed by Skyguide, all guided tours to the tower have been cancelled for the remainder of the year. The tower is being renovated.

We've been extended an invitation to (again) visit the ACC Dübendorf on a Tuesday or Thursday. I suspect that this draws limited attention on your side.

We're thinking about an alternative right now. I'll keep you updated.
