Liebe Community,

Die Stimmen sind ausgezählt.

Aus zwei Gründen hat der Staff die Resultate noch nicht kommentiert:

1. Für zwei Ämter, Deputy und PTD Leaders, sind zweite Wahlgänge nötig.
2. Es gibt weitere personelle Änderungen im Staff, deren Konsequenzen wir noch am Diskutieren sind.
   Die Betroffenen werden sich dazu selber äussern.

Im Moment will ich mich erst mal bei Euch für meine eigene Wahl herzlich bedanken. Euer Vertrauen ist für mich Motivation, die anstehenden Probleme und Tatigkeiten schwungvoll anzugehen.

The votes are added up.

There are two reasons why the staff didn't comment upon yet:

1. A second round is to be held for the jobs of Deputy and PTD Leader
2. There are more changes of personnel in the staff, and we are still discussing the due consequences.
   The involved colleagues themselves will inform you.

Right now, I would like to thank you profoundly for my own election. Your trust is my motivation to boldly handle the pending problems and tasks.

Ach ja, selbstverständlich muss man nicht unbedingt im Staff sein um mithelfen zu können . Wir sind für jede Art von Support dankbar!

Liebe Freunde,

Bis auf den Stabwechsel im Admin Department Ende Jahr ist der neue Staff nun operativ.
Zeit also, zurück, aber auch nach vorne zu schauen.
Es liegt mir ganz besonders daran, Jürg Gaensli, unserem SwissFIR-Urgestein und ATC-Guru, einen herzlichen Dank abzustatten.
Jürg, dessen erste Datenbankspuren bei VATSIM ins Jahr 2002 zurückreichen (wer von uns wusste damals schon, dass es sowas überhaupt gibt??) hat unterdessen nicht nur knapp 950 Flugstunden, sondern auch über 1'700 Controllerstunden geleistet. Ausserdem sind auch nicht ganz 400 Stunden als Observer registriert - ich wette, dass der grösste Teil davon während Trainings entstanden sind.
Aber auch die Verwaltung der Schweizer Routen in VATRoute, Berge von Charts, Trainingsdokumente und vieles Weiteres sind in Jürgs Händen gut aufgehoben gewesen.
Jürg, im Namen von uns allen: Vielen Dank für Deinen Einsatz für uns!

Die gute Nachricht ist, dass die in meinen Augen bestmögliche Nachfolgelösung realisiert werden konnte. Mike, der als Airlinepilot mit allen Belangen der Fliegerei und des ATCs bestens vertraut ist, hat gestern abend die Leitung im ATC-TD übernommen.
Mike, herzlichen Dank von uns allen auch an Dich. Behalte Deine Doppelbelastung im Auge und schrei rechtzeitig, wenn es zuviel wird und Du Unterstützung brauchst.

Auch neu im Staff sind Thomas Wand als mein Deputy und Leader Member Department, sowie Yves Gabi, der das PTD von Remo übernommen hat. Herzlich willkommen! Auch Euch danke für Euer Engagement.

Alles in allem darf ich erfreut feststellen, dass mein mal formuliertes Ziel "out of the turbulences into smooth air" langsam in Griffnähe kommt.

Dear friends,

Apart from the Shift change in the Admin Department that will take place at this year's end, the new staff is now operative.
So, it's time to have a look back, but one ahead as well.
Surely, this is the moment to give our sincere thanks to Jürg Gaensli.
Jürg whose traces in the VATSIM database go back to 2002 (who of us knew then that such a net exists??) has performed since then not only 950 flight hours but also over 1700 ATC hours. Beyond that, almost 400 hours as observer are registered - and I bet that most of them are Lessons with Trainees.
But also the management of the Swiss part of VATROUTEs, plenty of charts, training documents and many many more things have been in good hands with Jürg.
Jürg, on behalf of all of us: Accept our sincere thanks for your efforts for us!

Well, the good news is that we've found (in my eyes) the best possible solution for follow-up: Mike as an airline pilot knows all matters around flying and ATC, took leadership of the ATC TD yesterday evening.
Mike, our thanks for you, too. Please keep an eye on your now doubled burden and cry for help in time - before it's too much.

A hearty welcome to new Staff members Thomas Wand as my deputy and Member Department Leader and to Yves Gabi who has recently taken over the PTD from Remo. Thank you for your initiative!

Bottom line: I happily can state that my once defined goal of "coming out of turbulences into smooth air" appears to come within reach.
