Liebe Mitglieder und Freunde der vACC Schweiz
Wie wir bereits im Oktober angekündigt haben, wurde nun durch das Technology Department der vACC Schweiz unser Server Hosting neu aufgestellt. Unserer Services wurden bereits vergangene Woche auf die neuen Plattformen migriert, soweit traten keine sichtbaren Probleme auf.
Die beiden gemieteten Lösungen, ein Server und ein Storage für unser Backup, sind beide in Deutschland platziert und werden von dort betrieben. Langfristig sollten wir mit dieser Lösung betreffend Speicherplatz auskommen und die Kosten sollten, Preisänderungen seitens Anbieter vorbehalten, die kommenden Jahre hoffentlich stabil bleiben.
Diese technischen Lösungen kosten uns neu 42.80 Euro pro Monat, dies beinhaltet auch unsere zwei Domains. Je nach Kursschwankungen des Euros sind dies rund 40 Schweizer Franken pro Monat oder 480 Schweizer Franken pro Jahr. Diese Kosten werden wir durch Spenden von unserem Vereinskonto finanzieren. Deshalb möchten wir dazu aufrufen, dass alle die sich daran beteiligen möchten, gerne ihren individuellen Beitrag auf unser Vereinskonto einzahlen. Einmalzahlungen als auch wiederkehrende Daueraufträge sind willkommen. Die Angaben findet ihr in diesem Post sowie auch die Übersicht über unsere aktuelle Finanzlage. Bereits jetzt möchten wir uns bei allen bedanken, die sich finanziell am Server Hosting beteiligen.
Aus Gründen der Transparenz wollen wir anmerken, dass die gesamten Ausgaben auf dem Vereinskonto für unseren Verein in der heutigen Form rund 3'000 Franken pro Jahr belaufen. Darin inkludiert sind unsere Vereinsweekend inklusive GV im Frühling und ein vACC BBQ im Sommer sowie die technische Infrastruktur. Die beiden Anlässe werden grösstenteils durch Spenden der Teilnehmer getragen und je nach Ausgang der Spende wird das Defizit aus der Kasse gedeckt oder die Reserve gefüllt. Wir sind positiv gestimmt, dass dieses Konzept auch mit dieser neuen finanziellen Verpflichtung funktionieren wird.

Dear members and friends of vACC Switzerland
As we announced in October, our server hosting has now been reorganized by the Technology Department of vACC Switzerland. Our services were migrated to the new platforms last week, and no visible problems have occurred so far.
The two rented solutions, a server and storage for our backup, are both located in Germany and operated from there. In the long term, this solution should provide us with sufficient storage space and, barring any price changes on the part of the provider, the costs should hopefully remain stable for the coming years.
These technical solutions now cost us €42.80 per month, which also includes our two domains. Depending on exchange rate fluctuations, this amounts to around 40 Swiss francs per month or 480 Swiss francs per year. We will finance these costs through donations from our association account. We would therefore like to ask everyone who would like to contribute to make a donation to our association account. One-time payments and recurring standing orders are welcome. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who contributes financially to the server hosting.
For reasons of transparency, we would like to note that the total expenses on the association account for our association in its current form amount to around 3,000 Swiss francs per year. This includes our association weekend, including the AGM in spring and a vACC BBQ in summer, as well as the technical infrastructure. Both events are largely funded by donations from participants, and depending on the outcome of the donations, the deficit is covered from the cash register or the reserve is filled. We are confident that this concept will also work with this new financial commitment.
