New vACC Single Sign-On

Hi all

As you have probably noticed in the meantime, the vACC has gotten a new login mask. This is part of the rollout of the new vACC Single Sign-On solution, aiming for the unification of authentication across the vACC web services.

Under normal circumstances, you can just press the "VATSIM" button and use your VATSIM credentials in order to log in to connected services, such as our Homepage.

Be aware that the local password, which you can set in the Homepage Profile is not available for Login with the new solution. You should still be able to use this password to login to the forum for now, though.

The option of setting a local password in the new login service is temporarily disabled in order to avoid confusion with duplicate credentials. As soon as the integration has stepped on further, the Homepage-Profile password will be replaced with a new option to set a password on the Single Sign-On Account Page.

In case that a VATSIM outage leads to an inability to authenticate with our services, we are working on a fallback solution which will be more convenient and can be enabled on demand.
