The CTL team are pleased to announce that voting is open for our Westbound event in February! And the vACC Switzerland is happy to announce that we participate with Geneva (LSGG) in the voting!

How do I vote?
Head over to the website (https://ctl.vatsim.net/) and login via VATSIM Connect, once logged in head to the navigation bar at the top. From there click on "Airfield Voting". You will be greeted with a VATEUD Large, Medium, and Small categories followed by a general VATMENA category. Members should put their first, second, and last priority for their EUD & MENA options for each category, each vote at the end of the period will be calculated based on Single Transferable Vote (STV) system.

Of course vote for LSGG in the VATEUD Medium categories!

Geneva is selected in the Medium Categorie with a really good result, a lot of first and second votes. Infos regarding Staffing and planning will follow. For all pilots, please check out the CTL Channels for the bookings.

This edition the planning team will release 620 bookings, with the first slot departing at 09:00 UTC, and the last one departing at 15:05 UTC. Bookings will open on Saturday, 22nd of January 2022 @ 18:00 UTC. This period will last till Friday, 11th February 2022 and will close at 23:59 UTC.

The voting period has closed earlier this morning and we are delighted to announce the results for this upcoming edition of Cross the Land happening on the 3rd of September 2022.

Due to their contributions over the last few years (we can't host CTL without their help) we have decided to award Istanbul - LTFM a special participant status. This means, that although they have not been selected through the voting process, they will be hosting departures and arrivals for pilots interested in shorter flights. Note: Muscat has pulled their application for the event. After running the voting system again Imam Khomeini Airport has been selected as the final arrival airport in the Middle East.

Keep yourselves updated over the next few weeks through our social media platforms. We will be releasing the slot bookings on the 14th of August 2022. This edition we will also be bringing another confirmation system where pilots will be required to confirm their booking 24-hours before the event. Bookings that are not confirmed will be released for other members to book. More information regarding this will be released as we get towards the booking stage.

As you maybe already noticed the voting for Cross the Land 2023 Eastbound is over and the airports are selected. The following airports will be included on the 9th September 2023 for this event. At the moment no route trough LSAS Airspace is planend which is nice because we will host our vACC Barbecue 2023 on this date which is definitely better

The airport voting was already closed, the following airports were selected. This means we will not be needed for enroute ATC support in this edition. For those interested in flying in this event, the Slot booking will open on 4th February, 15:00z.

Seems that the CTL Team is quite flexible ;-) Bookings are now open until 9th February 19:00z. You will have to confirm your slot between 7th February and 9th February, otherwise it will be available again for other pilots. Save your slot now on the CTL Homepage!
