Similarly to the Alps, the winter sports in the Balkans have a long history. The lesser-known mountains in Bulgaria, Serbia, Montenegro, Greece, North Macedonia and Romania have some of the highest peаks south of the Alps, which during the winter season are covered in deep snow.
This year we are presenting to you Sofia Airport (LBSF), it is the biggest gateway to our most famous winter resorts of Borovets and Bansko. Every year hundreds of flights from all over Europe, Russia and the Near East, arrive at Sofia Airport. In order to provide you a great experience, on the 19th December 2021 from 13:00 Zulu until 22:00 Zulu, Sofia Airport (LBSF) will be fully staffed.
During the event our partner vACCs will fully staff some of their own airports to further enchance your experience and to allow you to have full ATC coverage during your flights to or from Sofia.
