[14th February, 11-14z] Sarajevo '84 Winter Olympics Rush - RE-WINDED

Dear pilots,

Until few years ago, it was annual, popular, spectacular, huge and great fun! Then there was a natural break, until VATSIM Adria lifted the region. Since last year it is back and will be RE-WINDED after months of hard work and coordination with a dozen vACCs.

Some of you already know it, the one in 2014 being live with hundreds of flights the whole day. One every 3 minutes at an airport that normally handles one every 15 minutes at a contra flow runway. Some of you will get the chance to learn it for the first time.

It is of course the Sarajevo '84 Winter Olympics Rush - RE-WINDED event with a lot of traffic to/from Sarajevo (LQSA) and
13 interesting partner airports the entire 10h event duration. Some are online full event, some half event and many 3 hours:

Full event duration partner airports:
- 11-21z: Sofia (LBSF) ~240 NM
- 11-21z: Bucharest (LROP) ~350 NM

Half event duration partner airports:
- 11-16z: Turin (LIMF) ~470 NM
- 14-19z: Budapest (LHBP) ~230 NM
- 16-21z: Bratislava (LZIB) ~270 NM

3 hours duration partner airports:
- 11-14z: Geneva (LSGG) ~550 NM
- 12-15z: Chambery (LFLB) ~550 NM
- 13-16z: Riga (EVRA) ~840 NM
- 14-17z: Munich (EDDM) ~390 NM
- 15-18z: Vienna (LOWW) ~270 NM
- 16-19z: Athens (LGAV) ~450 NM
- 17-20z: Tel Aviv (LLBG) ~1070 NM
- 18-21z: Paris (LFPG)Â ~730 NM

Beside the partner airports, will the 2 Sarajevo '84 Winter Olympics feeder airports, Zagreb (LDZA) and Belgrade (LYBE) as well as the 3 alternate airports, Dubrovnik (LDDU), Split (LDSP) and Mostar (LQMO)Â be opened if needed and covered by the CTR.

The main event alternate airport Mostar (LQMO) just got a new scenery last month, while Sarajevo (LQSA) last year, making the two
already very interesting and challenging airports even more popular now! And this year, we are giving both sceneries away! Yes, you read right! Our event partner, local scenery designer, Machine Washing Design appreciates the VATSIM and VATSIM Adria community for using and supporting him in his products. Thus he is giving away a few copies. So, in case you still do not know what to do THIS SUNDAY 14 FEB 11-21z - try with buying a lot of supplies and staying at home, as if you were snowed in at the Sarajevo hills, and fly the whole day to/from Sarajevo and our 13 interesting event partner airports.
