Event Posting on VATSIM.net

With this Post we inform you about a little problem regarding the Event Postings on VATSIM.net. So if you wonder why not all of our events are published there you will find the answer here.

VATSIM has changend the requirements for the Event Banners, they now only accept Banners in 16:9 format. Unfortunately the Banner of our regulary events Zurich Night, Minors on Stage and Geneva - One by One doesn't fit this requirement. We've contacted the designer of this Banner but didn't get a response until now. I wrote to the Members of the VATSIM Marketing Team so they can publish it until we have the new banner. But unfortunately they are not very cooperative...

We will publish the events on the other Channels as always but the main channel for most pilots is VATSIM.net we guess. Hopefully this issue hasn't a big effect on the pilots visiting our events...

Do you still post the events in the vatsim forum? If this still works, I think most of the european pilots, or those who visit us regularly, will still visit Switzerland.

How long has it been since we are not anymore represented on the vatsim event page? If it was before tha last tuesday, we don't have to expect a huge drop. (As you have seen, the last aircraft left the holding about 1h after the event.)

The post from the VATSIM forum are posted in the event calender and myvatsim. Last Tuesday it was posted there, Minors on Stage yesterday only 2-3 hours before the event and we had not much traffic...

I think on Tuesday lot of pilots know that we have our event. Let's hope the best.

Zurich Night will be published again on VATSIM.net with this new Banner

Was looking at the vatsim.net events page and Geneva One by One is not listed on the page. I think it might be for the same reason, listed in the original post, as Zurich night now showing up on the page because of the event banner not being in 16:9, though id post it here in case this wasn't know.

Correct, until we have the new Banner it will not show up on the Vatsim.net Event page. At the moment, only Zurich Night can be published on this channel.

Hey Guys

As some of you have already noticed, our Zurich Night yesterday was not published on the VATSIM Event page and it was very quite for a Tuesday. Not to bad to have only 50-60 arrivals and no holdings for once.

Just to inform you, VATSIM has a problem with the event publishing on vatsim.net website. The website will be replaced soon so they will not fix that. Until further notice, the events are only visible on the myVATSIM platform as well on the VATSIm Discord Event Feed and the Twitter Channel of VATSIM. So if you are looking to fly to the VATSIM Events, please look at the myVATSIM Platform.
