Frage Online day 09.06.2020, 2 Fragen

    Hallo zusammen

    1. Was heisst PTC. Das oder so etwas ähnliches hat der Ground Controller immer wieder gesagt zu den anderen Piloten.
    2. Warum hat es mir im Vpilot und auch auf VatSpy die Station Departure 125.95 nicht angezeigt?

    Besten Dank für Eure Antworten.
    Herzlichst

    PDC = Pre Departure Clearance

Your welcome. I was meaning the PDC Pre Departure Clearance. I find it does help reduce the frequency load on the clearance level as all i have to do is fill your strip (in the case of zurich also set your cleared flight level to the initial climb in the system) and press confirm rather than doing all that then taking the time to read it out then waiting for the readback back.

For the departure it was a cross coupled frequency and I had one who i had to say went to the wrong frequency and sent him to the normal controllers frequency.

Michael Briner, the workload for one controller was problematic and I agree with that. I know there were upset pilots at this including a streamer I wasnt aware about until afterwards. Me and yeasterday's Tower has arranged our bookings for the next 3 and we have made sure we have a Delivery on to reduce the load on the ground controller side.

There was at one pilot last night who was also confused at the PDC expecting it to be like how the US do it and sometimes the UK through PMs with the controller, something which we do not have set up at all. If anyone wants to look into the system further at what is used then its availible at http://www.hoppie.nl/acars/ . I know it does take time to setup even on our side but the reduced voice load does help.

I had to wait about 1 hr, but I did understand it and use the time to listen the voice.
Anyway, you did a great job.

Victim of its own success? Obviously the Zurich night event or even the destination LSZH itself became very popular within the VATSIM community recently. As a pilot, I'm relaxed with waiting 20 to 30 minutes for a clearance as I can prepare other things meanwhile. 30 minutes and more becomes painful and might troubles your whole flightplan, as the arrival ATC might be already offline due to the delay. So I do understand everyone who disconnects and reorganizes his evening.

But under no circumstances I would blame the controller for that. It all was well organized and fair by using the queue. And you did an excellent job with patience, clarity and - not to underestimate - humour. At the end of it, hope you very satisfied "deep down there" .

    All the best,

Well i got my new PC now so i can controll again, wasnt able to on Tuseday since i didnt have ES installed, but that should reduce the Workload aswell
