    Wichtig 26.09.2010/VATSIM-UK "Openskies 2010"

Every day, more than 7,500 aircraft crowd into Britain's skies. Have you ever wondered what it could be like to be a pilot flying in that extremely busy enviroment?

The United Kingdom is home to many of Europe's largest and busiest airports as well as the busiest international airport in the world, and there are over 40 airports in the UK alone. After much consultation and months of planning, two of the busiest Area Control Centers in the world, London and Scottish, and eight of the busiest airfields will control together in one of the busiest events in VATSIM's history. Imagine Cross the Pond traffic condensed into 120 minutes. It really is a non-misser....

Fly to/from Bristol (EGGD), Birmingham (EGBB), Edinburgh (EGPH) and Manchester (EGCC), London Gatwick (EGKK), London Heathrow (EGLL), London Stansted (EGSS), and if you fancy the welsh landscape in Visual flight, we have added Cardiff (EGFF).

With over 500 flights arriving and departing, over 200 destinations and over 50 airlines to choose from at one of our 7 choosen airfields. This truly will be a record breaking event. Delays will be in excess of 15 minutes*, DUE to airspace & airfield congestion - please plan your fuel wisely.

We will accept diversions, however please note we will be UNABLE to accept emergency traffic, during the event.

On http://www.vatsim-uk.org/openskies/ - you will be directed to our Official website for more information and flight bookings..

All Website, Media and Virtual Airline enquiries please use our contact us form, and select the appropriate topic - http://www.vatsim-uk.org/openskies/contact.php

    * Subject to weather conditions and ATC on the day

You'll have the possiblity to test your navigational and communication skills in the virtual britain airspace - in a line with hundreds of other pilots.

Just over 48 hours till possibly the biggest VATSIM event ever kicks off, it's going to big and it's going to be very busy, you can expect exceptional ATC throughout much of Europe, with the UK taking host to 6 of it's biggest/busiest and most challenging aerodromes.

The excitement of flying in an airspace as diverse as the United Kingdom with hundreds of other pilots, with busy radar controllers offering you excellent and proffesional service, for one evening we will offer that.

Could you really afford to miss this? An adventure of a liftime, to feel, to visualise a dream of fullfilling the oppurtunity of being a pilot.
