Auch von mir herzlichen Dank an alle Controller und natürlich die vielen Piloten. War speziell interessant, mal zu dritt auf Radar zu arbeiten. Ich denke, da ist auch jeder auf seine Kosten gekommen. Es hat richtig "gfägt".
Die APP/DEP Controller taten mir schon fast etwas Leid mit so viel Traffic zu dritt. Ein kleineres Chaos war da wohl fast unvermeidlich. Real würde man soviel Verkehr wahrscheinlich gar nicht planen ...
Das Event hat seinem Namen aber sicherlich wieder alle Ehre gemacht. Man darf gespannt sein auf die nächste Ausgabe!
Grad gesehen, dass sich im Eventtext eine Unstimmigkeit findet... (auf der Events-Seite) Dort steht oben korrekt 19:00 UTC-21:00UTC, unten jedoch noch in Sommerzeit.

Diesen Monat findet der Geneva One by One relativ früh statt. Und zwar schon am 24.6.2016.

Stelle ich heute trotzdem noch rein. Da derzeit an sehr vielen Orten in Europa sehr schönes Wetter ist, ziehen die Events eher relativ wenig traffic an. Doppelte Events ziehen immernoch besser. (Solidaritätsgedanken der Piloten).Quote:

Danke Luca P. für die Ablösung! Ich werde als OBS zuhören und mein Ohren trainieren. :) Fürs Controllern auf TWR an diesem Event bin ich viel zu wenig sattelfest. Werde noch üben, üben, üben......... ;)

I had problem with my internet provider before the event, I tried to do everything to come and ofcourse to help Luca with his cpt :)
but unfortunately, I was not able to come because of this problem.
I really wanted to help Luca and as well to take a part of this event.. :/

Aye, the Internet obviously was quite unstable yesterday evening.
The other foreign controller on APP was unable to connect, too.
Thanks Mark for taking over! :10: That more or less saved the event(s).
Even Luca had some intermittent voice problems, where I had twice to take over for a couple of seconds.
Anyway, he did a good job and I am proud to congratulate him for the good result.
Thanks to all pilots and fellow controllers. Though the expected mass of traffic didn't show up (not Luca's appareance, but the holidays were the reason I suppose), we had an excellent count of arrivals and departures, enough VFR, even with a gooney bird. :)
Slightly off topic:
@All controllers as a friendly reminder: If you are unable on short notice to stick with your booking,
a) try to cancel it, AND
b) try to inform your fellow controllers, preferably in the ATC coordination thread of this forum.
Specially at events, you not only give your colleagues the chance to step in, the bookings are also important for VATSIM pilots for checking what service to expect.
Remember: It is not necessary to book when you are controlling, but you should try to control whenever you have made a booking!
