featuring two staffed medium sized-airports, realistic procedures and much fun for everyone!

Verona, Villafranca (LIPX) AND Brescia, Montichiari (LIPO)

21.00 - 23:30 CEST (19.00 - 21.30 zulu)

Description:
"GARDA APPROACH" was the famous callsign of the renown Verona and Brescia joint APP facility, which was operated by military

controllers since its origins.
Starting from 3rd June 2010, this military ATC facility will cease to exist (Italian AIP AIRAC 4/2010) and all its business will be

handed over to civilian Air Traffic Controllers by ENAV S.p.A. This shift will coincide with both radio callsign and airspace name

change to "VERONA APPROACH".
VATITA controllers thus decided to celebrate the end of "GARDA" era with an adequate event!
