STAFF Applications - period of office 2015/2016
Dear members
The staff is pleased to announce the staff application period for all positions.
According to our bylaws (Art. 12) the staff has to be elected every two years.
Now it's your chance to support vACC Switzerland and join the staff!
If you're motivated and able to spend a few hours per week for our vACC, you should considerate to apply for one of the positions (departments) listed below.
Provisions
- Application period: 01.02.2015 - 22.02.2015 23:59:59 UTC
- Every member of vACC Switzerland may apply for a staff position
- Members of the Staff who like to re-apply should also file an application, but "motiviation/knowledge" fields may be left empty
- All applications will be checked (and the applicant will be informed) by the vACC Deputy Leader
- The elections are arranged and announced later on by ACCSUI6 (Leader Administration) and supervised by ACCSUI2 (Art. 8)
Departments / Requirements / Descriptions (Art. 14)
- ACCSUI1 (vACC Leader) [ATC-Rating C1 or higher required]
The president supervises and coordinates the departments. He is vACC Switzerland’s representative with higher authorities such as VATEUD. - ACCSUI2 (Member Department Leader) [ATC-Rating S3 or higher required]
The membership department’s director is responsible for maintaining the member
list. He handles general questions concerning membership and accompanies the members in
their VATSIM career. Furthermore, he promotes comradeship amongst the members and
arbitrates conflicts if needed. - ACCSUI3 (ATC-Training Department Leader) [ATC-Rating C1 or higher required]
The ATC training department’s director runs and develops the training system for virtual air traffic controllers. He teaches mentors to perform the trainings and assigns examiners. His further tasks include the definition of training standards as well as duties derived from other VATSIM institutions’ regulations. - ACCSUI4 (PILOT-Training Department Leader)
The pilot training department’s director runs and develops the training system for pilots. This includes the publishing of training documents and the performance of exams, in cooperation with other vACCs where needed. - ACCSUI5 (Operation Department Leader)
The operation department’s director is responsible for the updating and publication of charts and reference materials adapted to the needs of pilots and controllers under the VATSIM environment. - ACCSUI6 (Administration Department Leader)
The administration department’s director organises events on the network or in real life. He is also responsible for the maintenance of a corporate identity and the quality control of all charts and documents. - ACCSUI7 (Technology Department Leader)
The technology department’s director is vACC Switzerland’s webmaster and operates the forum and servers. He shall strive to the constant improvement of those systems in order to reduce the administrative burden created by the vACC.

Then choose "Department Leader" and the desired department (you may apply for more than one position).
Contact-Information will be keept staff-internally, but other fields of your application may be published in the election thread which will be visible to our active members with voting rights.
