Bye bye SwissFIR – Welcome vACC Switzerland
Hi all
Just a few hours to go and we have our own vACC! All links below are reachable from March 1st at 00:00 lcl !
As we promised in the news here is some information about the new vACC and especially the new homepage you should know.
So we want to welcome you here!
Especially we want to encourage our dear pilots to join and register too as you are an important part of vACC Switzerland!
Overview Homepage:
You can find our new homepage here: http://www.vacc.ch/
The new homepage is the “heart” of our vACC. Here you’ll find everything you need !
As you can see the new homepage is partitioned in three columns.
On the left you have different options. You can watch all news, you have information’s for pilots and controllers, airport-information’s, documents (charts) and a link to the board. In the centre column you have the welcome screen. If you choose an option from the left column it will be shown there.
On the right column you have an overview about news, events and bookings. You can click on most of them to get more information.
Registration:
First you need to choose the vACC here: http://admin.vateud.org/sag_vacc_change_login.php
Please observe that there will be a delay from hours to days because this change is done manually by VATEUD!
As soon as you’re assigned to vACC Switzerland, you need to register on our site. The reason you need to register “again” is that we can refresh our members’ database as there are several persons who retired from VATSIM.
Then, choose the following link: http://www.vacc.ch/en/join_us_now/ Here, you have the option to check whether your transfer to vACC Switzerland is completed or not. If yes, you can continue and fill the registration form.
Just fill in the form and choose your status, e.g. Pilot & Controller. At the moment you can’t change this status by yourself, so be carefully!
You will receive a mail with your details. Now you can login on the homepage.
Change your password in your profile: http://www.vacc.ch/en/profile/my_profile/ .
Your VATSIM-ID and your personal password is also needed for the new board!!!
Bookings (for controllers only):
Of course we have now our own booking-system.
You can find the link on the left column if you hit “Profile” or in the right column “booking overview”.

To book a position it’s nearly the same procedure as we had it at vACC-SaG.
If you make a booking for an event: positions who are important to book are red, positions you mustn’t book are hidden and the other ones are black.
So don’t be confused if you don’t see LSZH_S_GND on a LSZH-TWR CPT. Restrictions are set by the administration / event – team.
Board:
You can reach our new board on http://forum.vacc.ch/
You don’t need to register here again. It’s the same account you have on the homepage.
Login-Name is your VATSIM-ID and password is your personal you have on the homepage too.
Depending of your member status you will see more or less on the board. Just explore it!
It’s the same board software like the SaG-Board is, so you should know it J
At the moment we have to set the permissions manually, so you won’t see the internal areas until we upgraded your profile.
Mailing list:
Of course there is a new mailing list, too. You don’t have to register for that separately. As soon as you register yourself on the homepage you will also receive the mails from the mailing list. In the future you can write on the mailing list if you are a vACC Switzerland Member. Discussions should be performed on the new board and not over the mailing list J.
Please note that this may change in the future: Though we allow sending anyone unmoderated right now, we reserve the right to restrict this later on.
Help us with cross-checking that you “reply to” the list only if necessary and not if you want to contact any member directly!
Voice servers:
We also have our own ATC voice server, voice.vacc.ch which is available for ATC services as voice1.vacc-sag.org before.
Teamspeak is at ts.vacc.ch. Use your real First- and Last Name as Nick, registered connection, login Name is your Vatsim ID, and the vACC Switzerland password.
Finally we would like to take this opportunity to thank all those persons who build up the vACC Switzerland.
