Seeking for additional Department Members and Deputy Leader

Hi there

The Operations Department is currently seeking for additional Department Members. The responsibilities of the Operations Department are rich in variety from drawing charts and maintaining the sector file to defining standard operation procedures and negotiating letter of agreements with other VATSIM local facilities.

Your tasks can be either "daily work" (e.g. reviewing new/updated charts for correctness before release) or "project based" (e.g. implementing new features to the sector files or comparing our standard procedures with real world procedures and updating ours where reasonable). Do not be afraid if you have never done such things before, you will be of course supported by the other members when facing problems and most tasks look much more difficult at the beginning than they really are. As HP would say "we are a learning environment". ;)


So if you are interested in joining the Operations Team send me an email (operation@vacc.ch) and we see together, what task(s) will fit your interest best. I can assure you that you will gain a completely new view to our hobby. :)

In addition we are currently looking for a Deputy Leader (ACCSUI15). The Deputy Leader (together with the Department Leader) will support the Department Members and help in the organisation of the department. Furthermore as deputy he will be part of the decision-making at the "vACC Switzerland"-level as well.
