VATSIM has a new President

On behalf of the VATSIM Board of Governors, it gives me great pleasure to announce that David Klain has been unanimously elected as the new President of VATSIM.
He brings a wealth of experience to the position, having served previously on the VATSIM Board of Governors as Vice President, Operations for the past 2.5 years. A keen real world pilot, he has a passion for our hobby that is rare to find.
Taking up the role as VATSIM's first non-founder President, David replaces Richard Jenkins who takes a well earned back seat after 10 years helping us enjoy the hobby we all love so much.
Please join me in congratulating David on his election!
Im Namen des VATSIM-Direktoriums habe ich die Freude, die ehrenvolle Wahl von David Klain zum neuen Präsidenten von VATSIM bekanntgeben zu dürfen.
Er bringt eine Fülle von Erfahrung ins Amt, hatte er doch in den vergangenen zweieinhalb Jahren das Vizepräsidium für Operations inne. Als begeisterter Real-Life Pilot hat er eine Begeisterung für unser Hobby wie sie selten zu finden ist.
Als erster VATSIM-Präsident, der nicht zu den Gründern gehört, ersetzt David nun Richard Jenkins, welcher nach zehn Jahren unermüdlichen Einsatzes, unser Hobby zu dem zu machen was es heute ist, nun in den wohlverdienten Ruhestand tritt.
Wir alle gratulieren David zu seiner Wahl!
