TMSv2 - the next generation

Die vACC Schweiz ist stolz darauf, die Veröffentlichung des neuen TMSv2 bekannt geben zu dürfen. Das neue Training Management System (TMS) bieten eine Vielzahl von neuen Möglichkeiten und vereinfacht die Abläufe für Trainees wie auch für die Mentoren stark.
So haben wir in Zukunft neu die Möglichkeit, so genannte self-study Lessons zu definieren. Diese sollen dem Trainee die Vorbereitung auf die folgenden Lessons erleichtern. Zudem können wir das theoretische Wissen vACC intern in Exams testen. Bereits jetzt im System ist sind sog. Trainings. Diese sind freiwillig und können auch mehrmals gemacht werden. Ziel des Trainings ist es, dass ein Trainee, welcher sich noch nicht oder nicht mehr sicher fühlt, zusätzliches Training mit dem Mentor beantragen kann. Dies kann online oder über Sweatbox gemacht werden. Wir sind überzeugt, dass wir so die Effizienz und die Qualität der Controllerschulung weiter steigern können.
Neuerdings ist das TMS auch vollständig mit den anderen Systemen der Homepage verknüpft. Das neue TMS übernimmt automatisch die Buchung von ATC-Stationen für das Training und erstellt die Event-Werbung für CPTs und preCPTs. Erstmalig werden auch weitere ATC-Stations für die Dauer des Trainings blockiert, wenn dies nötig sein sollte.
Die Bedienung für die Trainees ändert sich nur wenig. Weiterhin werden im Menüpunkt lesson offers verfügbare Lessons der Mentoren aufgelistet. Sollte keine passende Lesson vorhanden sein, kann ein lesson request eingegeben werden. Neu werden hier nicht mehr die Zeiten, an welchen man verfügbar ist ausgewählt, sondern viel mehr die Tage. Diese können auch jederzeit editiert werden. Wird nun die gewünschte Lektion an einem der ausgewählten Tage angeboten, erhält man eine E-Mail.
Die Migration des alten TMS ins neue TMSv2 wurde bereits durchgeführt. Diese kann auf der vACC Schweiz Homepage in der Training-Histroy unter TMSv2 -> my career überprüft werden. Um einen sauberen Start ohne veraltete Requests zu ermöglichen, wurde die Waiting-List des alten TMS nicht übernommen. Die Lessons müssen deshalb neu beantragt werden. Sollte es zu irgendwelchen Fehlern gekommen sein, sollten diese bitte an das ATC-TD gemeldet werden.

vACC Switzerland proudly announces the release of the new TMSv2. The new Training Management System (TMS) gives us many new options and makes many processes for trainees and mentors easier.
In the future we have the possibility to define so called self-study lessons, which will make the preparation for the following lessons a lot easier. Additionally we will be able to check the theoretical knowledge in vACC-internal exams. Already in the system are the new trainings. If a trainee wishes additional training, because he does not feel confident on a position yet or not anymore, he can now request one of the optional trainings. These trainings can be done several times online or in the sweatbox. We are persuaded that this will further improve the efficiency and quality of our controller formation.
The new TMSv2 will be fully integrated into the other systems of our homepage. It will automatically book the required ATC station for the training and will generate the advertisement in the events section for CPT and preCPT. For the first time, the system will also block ATC stations if required.
The handling of the system for the trainees will not change very much. The available lessons will still be listed under lesson offers. If there should be no adequate lesson offer, the trainee can insert a lesson request. In the new TMS, the trainee does not select his available times but more the available dates. These dates can be edited anytime! If a mentor inserts a lesson offer for one of your selected dates, the trainee will be informed by email.
The migration of the old TMS into the new TMSv2 is already done. The results can be checked in the training history on the vACC Switzerland homepage under TMSv2 -> my career. To have a clean start without obsolete requests, the waiting list of the old TMS have not been transfered to the new system. All lesson have to be requested again. If any mistakes should be found, please report them to the ATC-TD.
