[9th September] vACC Summer Barbecue 2023

A lovely afternoon to all,


As you may be aware from our summer newsletter, we are happy to announce that we are planning a vACC Summer Barbecue initially slated, weather permitting, for the 9th of September 2023. All our members are welcome to join this ideal opportunity to meet, convene socially, have a few drinks and enjoy the marvellous summer weather! The precise details regarding specific times and the barbecue's location are still being finalised and you will be duly informed of any developments in due course.

If you yourself have any suggestions for adequate venues in a central location, accessible by public transport and of a decent budget, we would be happy to hear your ideas. Also be sure to let us know of any dietary or logistical restrictions beforehand and we will do our best to plan accordingly. Please feel free to write below or to email us at administration(a)vacc.ch and we will be sure to get in touch.

So mark your calendars and join us this September for a barbecue to remember!

I would be available to help out again as "griller" or in getting supplies(in whatever function deemed necessary). Message me preferably on Discord :)

Dear members,

We are happy to share some information about the upcoming 2023 vACC Barbecue.

After some miscommunication between us and the owner of a suitable location, we now have a new venue for the barbecue which is easily accessible by public transport and by car. This is also the reason why were slightly late with all the necessary information as we had to find something new which, on this timeframe, was not that easy. Some of you already know the location from last year ;)

The 2023 vACC Barbecue will take place at Pavillon Martinsberg, Baden AG. It will start on the 9th September 2023 at 14:00 Swiss local time. While there is no official agenda it’s planned to have the dinner at around 17:00-18:00lcl if you plan to arrive a bit later.

You can reach Pavillon Martinsberg by a five minute walk from Baden Train station or park at the Trafo parking garage just across the street.

As long as you don’t have any special food preferences or intolerances, you don’t have to bring something. That being said, we are looking for some people to bring a salad, side dish or desert so we don’t have to buy that as well. If you plan to cook something delicious for us, we would be more than happy to be aware, so please contact Ramon to notify us.
Equally, we would like to kindly ask you to fill out this form which will be open until 5th September 2023 to make a binding registration so as that we can plan ahead. Thanks in advance!

Just as last year, the location, food and drinks will be paid from the vACC's finances. We will make our bank details available to accept donations to finance the next barbecue, vACC Weekend and our annual bills.

I had a blast at the BBQ, it was good to see everyone there including some new faces!
I hope everyone made it home safely (not mentioning any names here :D )

Also from my side a big thanks to Ramon and the entire team helping to organise this BBQ. It was a great chance to meet and catch up! The venue was again very convenient to reach. And I enjoy that so many member with different background were able to join.

It was a pleasure to organize the BBQ (would not bet a lot of money if my girlfriend agree :lapaloma:) for you guys and offer the possibility to meet so many different people! Thanks for everyone which helped me for the preparation or during the evening or cooked something delicious for us.!
